She has won local and regional awards for her photographs and her photos have been used in national marketing campaigns.
Ellen's photography and written article on the Arrowhead of Minnesota was featured in the March 2008 issue of "Outdoor Photographer" magazine. Her newest image; "Oak and Sky" was showcased in the February issue of the virtual magazine AntiDull, a new and innovative fine art magazine that features rising artists from all over the world. Artist Philosophy
Try to always pass on the good things you receive and experience is a philosophy I have come to try to live by, and it challenges me in my life and in my photography. This philosophy most clearly speaks to me during the moments when I am able to spend time outdoors to photograph and share the many faces of nature. Our natural world, regions, and our own undeveloped local areas are being manipulated and removed at an alarming rate today, along with the wild life habitats found in them. Most impressed upon my heart and mind is to preserve these places in time with my abilities in photographic images.
In the images presented here, I am striving to share the moments that are out there, waiting to be remembered and treasured- should they disappear before we arrive.
