Nature, landscape & Fine Art Ellen is known as a Minnesota Photographer and noted for her many images taken in and around the Midwest, Arrowhead region & the Twin City natural areas. Ellen describes the Twin City metro region as a vast treasure trove of photographic opportunity; "When you stop to think that almost the entire metro area is geographically located in three major river valleys; the Mississippi, St. Croix and The Minnesota Rivers--all offer terrian and pockets of beautiful landscape and diverse nature areas --not to mention the lakes, smaller rivers and creeks surrounding and leading into them." "Besides the first visual impact, each scene I spend time at and photograph offers it's own unique characteristics and unique enchantment--capturing the essence and feel of that visual experience is truly the prize." Ellen is self educated along her continuing journey of photographic education. In the past six years, Ellen has exhibited at venues such as the Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts Exhibit in 2005 and again in 2008. She has achieved local and regional awards for her photographs and her photos have been used in national marketing campaigns.
